In 2013, we were given the opportunity to purchase a school that was in need of new ownership to keep it alive. We were thrilled for the opportunity to keep the school running for the children in the village and to fill a deep need for the creation of an alternative school that offers truly holistic education unlike the government schools.

The structure consisted of three very small, open air rooms with dirt floors and no running water. We started by immediately digging a well, reinforcing the building and installing a basic play area.
